Fox Look to Give The Simpsons its own TV Channel
Legendary TV show The Simpsons will quiet possibly be getting its very own TV channel.
News Corp.’s Chief Operating Officer Chase Carey had this to say about the idea:
Carey said there have been a “number of meetings” to determine how to capitalize on its library of episodes of The Simpsons and he mentioned a digital channel featuring nothing but Homer and the gang as being a possibility. Carey said it is incumbent on the company to take advantage of a show that is “unique in television with a volume, too, that is unprecedented.”
The deal may be in the works but don’t expect the Simpsons Channel on your sky box while new episodes are still being pumped out.
If the Simpsons where to air every episode from start to finish (episode 500) it would take 10.5 whole days to get through them!
