The Planet Express crew gets an anime makeover.
In this weeks Futurama we see the crew like we have never seen them before. Inspired by the like of Voltron and Battle of the Planets, Futurama receives an anime make over.
The idea is that it’sFuturama reincarnated in three different animation styles,” says executive producer David X. Cohen. “One is in [Max] Fleischer black-and-white style, one in a 1980s video-game style and one in a Japanese anime style. We’re going to show the Japanese anime Futurama at Comic-Con. It’s custom-made for Comic-Con.
