Deleted “Megamind” Scene

“Megamind” Deleted scene

Cutting Room Floor

Never has there been a movie that some footage hasn’t ended up on the cutting room floor. But surely now with those ultra modern, 3-D super computer animated films like Megamind all this will end. Well actually no, they probably have hours of out-takes and costly ones at that.

Millions of $Dollars$

This cut scene from Megamind shows TV reporter Roxanne Ritchie (Tina Fey) really sockin’ it to Will Ferrell’s Megamind for slaying Brad Pitt’s Metro Man. With this picture from Dream Works costing Millions of $Dollars$, you expect that the endless hours of deleted scenes they couldn’t fit into the movie would be of very high quality “lol” stuff. Unfortunately just because the movie cost a lot of money doesn’t make it extra funny; not to take anything away from this clip though, as it still might give you a little giggle and if you’re a Megamind fan your sure to enjoy it.

Seth Macfarlanes Family Guy, American Dad stealing the Show

An old saying comes to mind: out of sight, out of mind. It best describes the situation South Park find themselves in now that Season 14 has come to an end and we await season 15. Since the last South Park episode we’ve been blessed with a resurgent Family Guy which is showing the kind of jokes we expect from such a  show. At the same time Seth Macfarlanes other Show American Dad has been producing some fantastic episodes of recent, some dare i say better than Family Guy. Fartbreak hotel is a stand out episode of the series so far, with Stan and Roger giving us some fantastic banter and one-liners which provides plenty of laughs.

While the South Park production team are busy getting a sun tan on the beach, they are missing out on a whole host of opportunities to mock/ spoof the many political uprising happening around the world. While we contemplate the laughs we could of had if South Park was still airing episodes, we will have to make do with the fantastic laughs on offer from Family Guy and American Dad. But we look forward to the return of South Park the greatest animation…

Animated Oscar Award Winner : Pixar’s Fourth Straight Win

Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich called Pixar the “most awesome place on the planet to make movies.”

Best Animated Feature Film
Toy Story 3

Best Original Song
We Belong Together’ from ‘Toy Story 3’
Music and Lyric by Randy Newman

Last years top grossing Toy Story 3 won the fourth- straight animated feature Oscar for Disney’s Pixar Animation. It’s no surprise when Pixar has produced movies such as Finding Nemo and WALL-E. Both of which have helped Pixar produce 6 of the 10 Oscar recipients for animation since the category was started. Not to mention UP, last year’s winner. It should be named the Pixar Oscar for best animation feature.

Dreamworks can keep dreaming, for now.

Things were a bit twisted at the Oscar ceremony when Pixar won, where the visual effects to present the award was a recreation of Far Far Away and we know that’s the fairy tale land from the Disney’s rival Dreamworks Animation Shrek movie. Maybe someone backstage was trying to spice things up at the Oscars although it can’t be forgotten that Dreamworks animation feature Shrek did win the first Oscar in that category but whistled out with a measly Shrek Forever After.

They have been criticized at times for over playing Shrek, even so to have a parody of Buzz and Woody Badmouthing Dreamworks but Toy Story used the right blend of timing to release it’s 3 movie franchise.

Toy Story 3 was 15 year wait from the original in 1995, bring together Tom Hanks and Tim Allen it launched the era for feature-length computer generated  animation comedy.

As for animation at the Oscars…

it’s to infinity and beyond.

What do you think of the win? To hear more thoughts on the animation at the oscars visit Pixar Times

Top 5 South Park Religion Episodes

A Chapter from the Book of Mormon

Creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone have a musical entitled The Book of Mormon.

We know that through the series they have ridiculed Religion. They have twisted, bent and straightened out the beliefs of many people in the world. All to the amusement of some and the rest of the time just to anger others but they do have a disclaimer at the beginning of the show

Looking back through the seasons Religion has come up time and time again to almost rival the death of Kenny on numerous occasions. Okay maybe not that many but here is a list of South Park’s 5 Top episodes on religion. Sure they are many more that we haven’t included, so tell us what you think should be in the list.

1. All About the Mormons

The episode revolves around the religion and culture of Mormons, as a Mormon family moves to the town of South Park, and influences the beliefs of the family of character Stan Marsh. The story of Joseph Smith’s founding of Mormonism and the writing of the Book of Mormon is told through a number of comedic 19th century flashbacks, with a musical narration.

“I want to get down on my knees and start pleasing Jesus. I want to feel his salvation all over my face”

Eric and Kyle make a bet on who can create a band that will make it to platinum first. Cartman being the little vindictive brain stormer plans to reach the top of the Christian Rock Charts. 3. Trapped In The Closet

“We are going to sue your ass *and* your balls!”

Well Scientology doesn’t really need much to be ripped. There are some obvious absurdities but don’t take my word for it, google it. South Park after showing us the craziness of it all remind us that it’s just a way for people to try and answer the big question of human existence. Every ones knows that we all came from aliens that landed on planet earth eons ago anyway.

4. The Passion Of The Jew

“That wasn’t a movie – that was a snuff film! We want our 18 dollars back!!”

Mel Gibson’s Blockbuster Passion of The Christ was the pride and joy of this religious theme episode. We watch the reactions of both sides of the film. Doesn’t sound funny- well how about. We watch the reactions of both sides of the film in South Park fashion. Sound hilarious and even funnier to watch.

5. Mr. Hanky the Christmas Poo

“Hidey Ho!!”

Well it’s a little piece of shhh- can’t be using those words. Mr. Hanky the Christmas Poo was a high pitched “character” that taught us about the values of Christmas and the holidays seasons.
